If truth be told, the scenario in the field of growing crops is getting worse by the day. Chemical manufacturing companies are issuing fabricated information where they are highlighting the positive side of weed killers which, in reality, are high in negative aspects. Weed killers like Roundup are now dumped annually at a rate of 900 million pounds, which is creating a toxic and chemical environment which is harmful to say the least.
These chemicals are so harmful that they destroy the human immune system by destroying the beneficial bacteria present in human gut. It is also associated with causing depression in individuals as well. A new study conducted in France highlights how years of exposure to weed killers has lead to a rise in depression amongst farmers. The researchers have found a link but cannot prove a direct cause and effect relationship. This research also gives evidence that there are other factors as well that lead to this situation. Factors like age and smoking habits can increase the side effects of weed killer exposure.
